How would our town industries thrive under such stupidity ? Could they compete against the sweated surplus* ages of the world, unless amply protected ? And even now it is with a struggle they exist. It is obvious the Single Tax theory is only one tax on the land,, and if given effect to would abolish the Alien Poll Tax, and bring us down to the Asiatic level.
