FIERCE FIGHTING AT MANY POINTS.

Russians Continue Offensive and Capture Numerous Prisoners.

Gennau pressure continues in the Ficksten and Sauken Lakes district and at Rakiszki, westward of the Jacobstadc-Dviask line.

We repulsed repeated attacks in the Podbrodze district, and especially intense attacks to the westward.

Determined fighting occurred westward of Slouim. 'The enemy's cavalry fell back.

Near the confluence of the Turia and Pripet we crossed to the GorynDerajuo district and made progress. We captured a whole Austrian battalion and stopped the enemy's offensive in the Berawno-Dlevau districts. With a vigorous couuter-stroke we then advanced in the district westward of Klevan, taking 1,300 prison-

We ejected the enemy, with great losses, from the villages of Rydomel and Rmstoki westward of Wysznewec, taking upwards of 2,000 prisoners.

Our offensive was continued at Gontow and Ditkowec, southwestward of'Wvsznewec. We captured 140 officers, 7,300 men ; also, one heavy and six light guns and much booty.

We are pursuing the enemy westward of the Sereth front.

Fierce actions were fought westward of Tarnopol on the 12th. We took prisoners thirty-five officers and 2,700 men.

The Times' Petrograd correspondent says the seizure of a porciou of the r.iilway line at Svienbiany was the result of a cavalry raid and not a general advance.
