Mr Crowley moved—That• tbe .report and balance-sheet be adopted. Mr Macmillan secouded and said the meeting last year would have been a greater success but for the fact that it was held id close proximity to the date of the' general elec- * tion.

The motion was put and carried. -- Mr A. Brown said;that the Roto, rua Jockey Club was desirous that the Bay of Plenty Club should confer with a view to discussing dates, atd' the secretary was empowered to communicate with the liotorua Club on j the subject. Messrs 11. W. The appointment of starter was left to the committee. Af cer the election of the Presided, ~ Mr Crowley took the chair, • The questions of installing sanitary . conveniences, erecting a starting barrier, and effecting other improvemeuts to the course appointments were discussed, and referred to the couiorittw with power to act. Matters concerning the programme , were considered. Alterations in regard to distances and prize money were suggested by various speakers, and finally the matter w«s referred to the committee wish powof to act.
