AN IRISH INCIDENT.

Speeches by students from the platform at Mr Redmond's meeting, at Dublin, protested against the Union Ja'k floating over Carlisle Building, wherein the ofliccs of the \rh\. Independent are. Mr T. M. Kettle, a prominent journalist, remarked: "It is a sorry exhibition for a paper founded by Parnell !" The Independent declares that the (lag was flying over the Irish Lights Board's offices in the same building.
The Unionists contrast the incident with the declaration of Mr Redmond that Home Rule would reconcile Ireland to the Empire.
