Two of the claim? for compensation brought in the Suprema Court by relations of members of the crew of the Buco, fcava»been sertled out of court, »he owners of the vessel, tbe Wellington Ilarbour Ferries Co., having agreed to pay a certain sum. It is nut stated how much the company agreed to pay. The company had admitted liability under the Workmen's Compensation Act and the maximum amounts payable under the Act are £500. Another claim, whic'j was being investigated by a special jury, and which has also been settled, is that of Elizabeth Menard, widow of the chief engineer. The claim of this case was for £1500.
