LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL*

The Council met at 2.30
The Loan Bill passed all its stages. The Attorney-General moved to place on record the high services performed to the country by the late Mr •J. W. Thomson, ami condolence with his family. The Hons. McLean, MeCardie, and Bayly having spoken in eulogy of deceased, the motion was carried.
The Council adjourned at 2.50, un til to-morrow, as a mark of respect
