ROTORUA.
Wednesday. Telegrams have reached here, stating that Mr Sheehan, in response to )4 numerous requests from all parts of 4m the electorate, purposes visiting the Bay of Plenty immediately, to address and consult with the electors as to the best means of promoting the long neglected interests of the district. Now is the time for united action, re the Tauranga and Hot Lakes District Eailway. Mr Sheehan, it is said, also favours this as a public work, as also the extension to Opotiki. His influence in the House and long Parliamentary experience would, it is generally felt, be much more likely to effect those great objects than the efforts of any simply local man, however clever or amiable he may be.
