Wednesday. At the Supreme Couvt to-day, Lily Gai-lanJ for assaulting George Cram, was sentenced to two years' hard labour. Robert Williamson, Franoia Malachi," Frederick Pragnall, and James Kelso, oharged with assisting her, were acquitted .Richard Hawker charged with arson, was acquitted. A boarding house, occupied by a man named Hamilton, was destroyed by file early this morning. Chi'istchurch South and Ellesmere districts havo pronounced against any increase in publioans' licenses.
