"Caledonia" was foaled on November 29th, 1874; is by "Prince Arthur" out of a first class Clydesdale mare imported, from Van Diemans Land. " Prince Arthur" was bred by Messrs Forest, Treesbanks, Lanarkshire, Scotland, outpf their first class mare, by that well knowu horse " Campsie," the property of Mr D. Riddell. ' ' Campsie" gained first premium of £40 in the Glasgow Market of the Calderwaterhead Society, in 1 862 ; also the first premium of £40 in Kinross, in 1863 ; also the Highland Society's first premium of £30, and medal, at Kelso, in ■ 1863 ; also the first premium of £40 ,at Perth.in 1864; also the premium of £30 from the Calderwaterhead Society, in 1865. "Prince Arthur," when a two year old, gained the second premium for the County of Dumbartown, in 4865; also second at the Johnstone Open Show ; also second .at the Highland Society's Show, held at Inverness in 1865 ; he was then shipped to New Zealand, and is now sire of some-of the best stock in the Provincial District of Auckland. • ; Terms: £4 per single mare jy twoor more, the property of one owner, by arrangement.
