Wednesday, April 27. Fat Cattle.— The market at Burnside today waa supplied with 157 head, made up of three parts fat steers, cowa and heifers, and only a amall proportion of prime beef. The latter met a brisk sale, but medium and inferior quality being the bulk of the aupply, was poorly oompeted for and had a dragging aale throughout. Cow beef met a particularly bad sale, being diffioult to quit at any prioe. Beet .bullocks aold £7 7s 6d to £8 ; medium do, £6 to £7 ; light do, £4 15s to £5 10a ; beßt oowa and heifers, £5 to £6 2i 6d ; modium, £3 to £4t 5s ; inferior oows, £1 58 to £2 sa. Fat Sheep.— The entry totalled only 1300, Of that number not more than a third were wethers and maiden ewes, tbe remainder being aged ewes. Although the supply was much below the usual require* menti of the trade, and would in ordinary circumstances be inadequae, prioes except fur very fine wethers were no better than those ruling last week. The dem nd for cal ewes, although in fat condition alack ; Baleß of Beveral lots of this olaes had to be made at boiling down prioes. Fat Lamb-).— Only 342 panned, but at thia season of the year the entry waa quite aufficient to meet trade demands. All that were prime aold rather better tban laat week. Best lambs aold at 8a to 9a, medium 6a 9d to 7a 6d. Figs.— lß6 penned, representing all Borta, but a large proportion of the entry were heavy pigs. There w s a splendid demand porkers and baooners, and prices for theae were again in favor of sellers. Suckers and young piga met a poor sale, and tbere was a heavy drop in prioes as compared with laßt week's rates :— Suakera, 9< 61 to 10a; slips, 11a to 13a; stores, 15 j 6d to 20* ; pe-kers, 21s to 27s 6d ; baconera, 33s to 53a ; extra heavy, 56 3 to 58 j. Ribbitakinß.— Au excellent demand ia experienced for all the akina coming to thia market ; indeed, the supply ia quite in adequate to meet tbe requirements, and a much larger quantity oould be placed without in any way affecting prioss. Lately caught Bkins are worth lid to 13|d ; autumns, 8d to 10£ d ; aummerß, 6d to 7£d per lb. Sheepskins.— Small oataloguea were aub' mitted by the various agenta this week. There waa a large attendance of buyers, and oompetition waa spirited for both green and dry skins, prioea ruling quite on a par witb thoae obtained laat week. Green crossbreds aold at 2s to 2a Bd, do merinos at la 3d to Is 9d, dry crossbreds at 2s 3d to ss, do merinos at la 91 to 3s 10 J, do pelta 4d to 1.7 d. Wheat- — The market for thiß cereal has been extremely dull for aome weeks, but during the past few days a healthier tone has been apparent, und values have righted themselves to a certain extent. Prime velvet Ib in roost request, and for thia claaa there is now good inquiry. Good whol c fowl wheat continues firm at late quotations Quotations: Prime milling velvet, 4a 6d to ! 4s 8d ; do Tuscan and red veive>t, 4a 4d to 4a 6d ; medium to good, 4i 2d to 4i 3d; fowl wheat, whole, 3a 8d to 4a ; do, broken or damaged, 3s to 3s 6d per bushel (aaoka In). Oata. — During the p*et week i the market haa shown more animation, and all Borta are now saleable on better terma than last quoted. A Btrong demand exists for clean dune, long Tartars, and other good seed linea, whioh, however, are offering only sparingly. Prime milling Sutherlanda are also in request at advanced rates, while bright Bhort feed (eparrowbills) command buyerß* attention at prioea about Id in advance of last week's quotations. Seed liaes sell at 2< 6d ; prime milling, 2a 3d to 2i 4£d ; good to boat feed, 2a Id to 2a 2£d ; medium to good, 2s to 2a Id per bushel (aacks extra). Birley. — Arrivals are on a small Bcale, and late values remain unchanged.
