Messrs Moritzson and Hopkin- Dunedin, report as follows for week ending April 27 :- We would aak farmera when Bending samples always to put a price on them, as bnyera will not make offers. Wheat.— The demand i« not so keen aa it was, owing to millers who have stook on hand to keep them going for some ti me holding off the market. We quote : For best velvet — Oamaru 4a 81, south 4s 8d } beat Tuaoan — Oamaru 4s Bd, aouth 4i ii to 4' 6d 5 red chaff, 4i 4d to 4s 6d ; fowla' wheat, 3j 3d to 4a. Oatß. — Thß market is brisk, but prices are without alteration. We quote : Beat feed, 2s Id to 2s l|d ; medium, 2a ; Sutherlands, 2s 3d. Barley.— Feed sorts are quoted at '2s 3d to 2a 6:1; milling, 3* 31 to 4i ; malting, in Strong demand, 4t> 91 to 5s 2d. Ryecorn.— 3s 6d. Flour :We quote £11 Oatmeal in 25' b, £1 1 10 a. Pearl barley, £16 Bran £3 10s. Pollard £4 10s. Nelson hops are quoted at lOJd to Ib. Chaff.— Supplies having fallen off, prioes are firm. Prime, £3 15a to £4 ; medium, £3 5a to £3 10*. Ryegrasa. — The demand is good for small shotty aeed. We have large ordera to fill, and oan place aoy quantity. We quote : For farmers' dreßsed, 2* 6d to 3a ; machined, 3s 3d to 4s. Cocksfoot, 3|d to 3§ 1 for farmera' lota, and 4Jd to s£d for machined Linseed (wanted). £10 10a to £11 Pressed straw, 25a. Clover hay, £3 sa. Nitrate of soda. £15. Basic Blag, £5. Clovers, rape, &-. jaat landing. We can offer all olaseei pure aod fresh. Potatoes. — The demand is fairly aotiveWe quote: Darwents, £3 10s to £3 15s per ton. Hides.— ljd to 3|i, according to weight and condition. Tallow.— Rough fat, 9i to 11a; rendered, 12s to 15b. Horsehair. —ls to Is 3 J. Rabbitakins. — The market here ia very firm, And all sorts meet with brisk oompetition. We sell by auotion every Monday. Sheepskins.-— We held our ueual weekly ■ale on Tuesday, when we offared a large catalogue. Competition was brisk and prioes ruled very firm. Dry croßsbreda brought from 2* 6d to ba 9i ; inferior, la 3d to 2a 4d } dry pelts, Id to 9i ; dry merinOß, 2a 3d to 6j ) inferior, Is to 2s ; green pelts, li 4d to 2-j 6d j green lambskins, la 3d to 2h fid eaob. We undertake conntry oleariog aalea. FRUIT AND PRODUCE BEPOBT. Butter : Prime aalt, 84 to B£d ; medium, 6d to 7d. Butter cases, with parchments, 18a per dozen. Cheese : Good Akaroa, 3|d ; factory, 4*l to 4£d. Piga.— For good quality, 3£d to 3|l. Beeawax (wanted), la to la 4d for prime quality. Fruit. — We receive consignments of all kinda of fruit and garden produce, whioh we •ell either by auction or privately, aa we think best In tbe interests of consignors. Plums, l£d ; apricots, 2d ; peaches, 2d ; tomatoes, 3d ; bananas, 2d to 2£d per lb.
