Plaited Waists and Skirts.
As the season advances Harper's Bazar finds a taste evinced for plaited waists and skirts, a fashion especially becoming to slender figures and since the plaits are lengthwise not objectionable to those who aro larger. Theso plaitirigs are seen in various materials among the spring woolens and summer silks and aro usually box plaits spread opon and pressod flat. They appear in round belted waists in three box plaits aliko in front and back below a yoke, or else a gathered waist with yoke has three imitations of such plaits in bands set lengthwise upon it, the outer bands extending to tho shoulder as bretellos. There aro several varieties of the plaited skirt, one boing box plaited across the front and sides below a yoke, another kilt plaited only on one side, whore a lifted overskirt discloses it.
