Table Bill
(From Ocb Own Cobk£bponpbnt.) The usual fortnightly Bilver readings was held in the Table Hill aobool , house on Friday evening, Mr Charles Forpyth presiding. Owing to the state of the roads the attendance was considerably short) ot previous years. The introductory item was a song by Mr J. Nioholl, whioh was given with ezoellent espression, A recitation by Mrs Ferguson evoked heartyapplause. Mr Kerridgeiqpg "The Red White and Slue," and jeoelved am>laus.e, A humorous Scotch farad entitled " Jeanlo Campbell," in whioh the characters were represented as following:—Mr Campbell, George Scott; Mrs Campbell, Miss Dnnoan; Murdook, Jno. Duncan: Lady visitor, Miss Wood; Mies Willoilghby, Miss porayth ; Rab. Ferguson, Alex, j Jack Thompson, Mark Scott, This pieoe, though somewhat long, Was performed without a hitoh, whiob speaks high for the performers, considering the short time they had been in practice. The stage was oleared, and a danoe followed, whlsh wai Jfept.untiUl o'olook. Mr Ale*. Mills danced a hornpipe, and Mr Jno. Mooresaaga humorous Sootoh song, and had to repfy to ah enoore. The chairman said be was sorry to announce that on account of the poor attendance, thay had decided to disoontin.oie the readings in the meantime. The music was supplied hy Mr Henry Wells, of Milton, and Mr.George Scott aotod as MO. Tho readings have been kept going for four yean, and will be fnuofa mlllfld |jy hi X»bU Hill folk,
