[Bx Telegraph.] (From Our Own Correspondent.) Monday, 8 pm. A conference of delegates from variouß sections of the New Zealand Railways oommenced this morning. The various sohoolu of the eduoational district opened to-day after the holidays. The attendance in nearly every aohool was much below the average owing to the measles. The half-yearly meeting of the Typographical Sooiety waa held to-day. It was shown that the number of unemployed compositors in the colony was appalling. The umpire at a football matoh on Saturday was assaulted in oonaequence of the dissatisfaction given by his ruliDg. The polioe have decided to 'preßS the oharge of murder against Sanderson for shooting Spreat, The case will be heard to-morrow. A number of skeletons, supposed to be those of Maoris killed in tribal disputes, have been fours d near the Heads, The Government intend to expedite business aa muoh as poaaible during the week and hope to finish the financial debate.
