INTERCOLONIAL.
It is understood that the Queensland Government have issued orders for the strikers' camps to be dispersed immediately, and it is expected that only passive resistance will be offered by the men to this step. At a meeting of the shareholders of the Tasmanian Steam Navigation Company the proposal for sale to the Union S.S. Company of New Zealand was adopted. Much regret was expressed at the absorption of tbe old company, and several of the large shareholders said they were inclined to form a new company. Sir John Robertson, tbe well-known politician, was found dead in his bed of syncope.
