TOKOMAIRIRO FARMERS' CLUB.

A Committee meeting of this Club was held on Wednesday evening, when there were pesent ; Messrs R. Murray, President (in the Chair), D. McDonald, Vice President, Chalmers, Tweedie, Allison, Sutherland, Hewitaon, J. Hislop, Goodall, and J. luglis (Secretary). The Minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Paddock Committee reported that three paddocks had been offered to hold the ploughing match in. After considerable discussion it was decided to hold the match in a paddock belonging to Messrs Chalmers Brothers. It was resolved to advertise the ploughing match in the local papers, and that entries close on Saturday the 26th instant at 8 p.m. Mr Chalmers gave notice that he would move at next meeting that wheels be allowed on swing ploughs. Mr Hewitson moved, and Mr Goodall seconded—*' That a refreshment booth be erected on the ground, and that the Secretary call for tenders for the same." Agreed to. It was also resolved that a dinner be held on the evening of the day of the match, and that the Secretary invite offers from the local caterers for che supply of the same. The meeting then adjourned.
