Mr Donald Stronach reports:— Wheat: 3s lOd to 3s lid might be obtained for the finest millings but holders seem indisposed to qnit their parcels at these rates. For medium samples we % uote3s6dto 3s Od per bushel. Oats : There has been some inquiry, but we do not hear that much business has resulted. Is 4d is the highest quotation, but it is doubtful whether this could be obtained except for very prime parcels. Barley : Buyere are not inclined to go beyond 3s 6d per bushel for prime malting, and as the ■apply of such description is very small and r there is no demand for inferior, business in this ' grain must be reported quiet. Messrs Donald Reid & Co. report:— Wheat: The market has been full all the week, with but little inquiry, and prices barely maintained. Our sales include sacks for shipment and sacke for nulling. Oats are in fair demand, and prime samples for export can be placed at from Is 4d to Is 5d per bushel, according to quality ; sacks Bd. B irley :No demand ; market fully {stocked We quote :— wheat: prime milling, 3s 9d to 3s lid; medium 3s 7d to 3s 9d ; inferior and fowl's feed, 2s Sd to 3i 3d. Oats : best milling.ls 5d to Is 6d; feed do, Is 4d to Is sd. Barley: malting nominal, 2s lOd to 3s 3d ; milling do, 2s 7d to Ss. —Grass seed, 2s 6d. Bran, £3 per ton.— Pota toes, best Derwents, £2 15s to £3 per ton. Messrs Wright Stephenson & Co. report: —Wheat : Only really choice samples are saleable, and for these not more than 3s> lid is obtainable. Fowl's feed is very plentyfnl. We extra prime wheat at from 3s lOd to 3s lid per bushel ; ordinary samples (nominally), 3s 6d to 3s 8d ; fowl's wheat, 2s 6d to 3s. Oats: Good bright samples of short oats for shipment have been inquired for, and several sales have transpired at from Is 4d to Is 5d per bushel, according to sample ; common feed are, however, difficult to quit. We quote prime milling at from Is 5d to Is 6d per bushel ; good feed. Is 3d to Is 4d. Barley: No demand. Messrs Maclean & Co. report:— Wheat : During the week we have sold over SOO bags of wheat at up to 3s lid, which may be taken as the ruling price of prime graiD. Ordinary may be quoted at 3s 4d to 33 6d ; fowl's feed 2s 9d to Bs. Oats iave been in better inquiry during the week, but without apparent alteration in price. Good oats are presently being sold at Is $& for milling, and Is 3d to Is 4d for feed. Barley continues dull of sale ; quotations nominal. E. W. Capatick and Co. report :— Feed oats brought by auction Is od to Is 5 U per bushel. Potatoes £2 5s per ton; bags, 6d each.
