MATAU ROAD BOARD.
Three members of the Matau Road Board — ; vl essrs Inghs, f'etrie, aud Robertson — then interviewed the Hon, Mr Macandrew relative to \ the loan of £600 required by the Board for pairing and reconstructing roads washed away by the floods. The Hon. Mr Macandrew promised at once to get a report from the Public Works Department as to what was required, and stated the Board might rely on receiving £300. More could not he given, as £1 20 000 had beeu applied for the total vote of £50,000.—' Star,'
