The Assessm<y,y c Court was held at the Schoolho.use yesterday afternoon The list was declared to be informal, and the proceedings were adjourned to a future date, which will be duly announced by advertisement. The following characteristic letter from Mr Donald M'Master had been forwarded ; hut Mr Carew decided that the facts mentioned therein formed no ground of objection- — Fassfern, Waihola, 13th February, 1877. Mr Peter Farrell, Clerk, Assessment Court, Tokomairiro. Sir, — Please deliver my objections to the above Court, appointed for the purpose : — 1. Not a farthing been spent from Waihola township to Messrs Blues and Duthie's s\ibdivision. 2. Paid last year more than £7. Not a farthing spent on four roads leading to the top of the hill joiaing my property with another road. 3, £600 license for cattle and head money squandered on road to Taieri Beach; also last year's assessment. 4. I have no confidence in the Road Board, Waihola. Respectfully yours, Donali> M'Master.
