ROXBURGH.

'The annual examination of th^ Roxburgh School took place on the 22nd v ult. ; j 'in'the presence of the School Committeearid several others interested iri school matters.' The teacher, Mr Orr, conducted the work of examining, which occupied nearly five hours.' At the. clo^e, , Mr Borton,, on behalf of theSchool Committee; expressed great pleasure at the progress made by the children since' the present master took charge of the school in the early part of .June last, and 'full satisfaction with the order and management prevailing throughout, , and urged upon the pupils the wisdom of improving their present opportunities. The scholars, * thoroughly well pleased, then dispersed to enjoy holidays extending over three weeks.
