...I have nothing new or interesting to record in this communication, but an increasing disposition on the part of our miners to become the holders, of quartz claims. It has now become fashionable, and a considerable breadth of country in the supposed line of reef is already taken up with capital from one to eight thousand pounds. As yet, .however, nothing of any consequence has been done to test the richness of the various claims.
