(to the, Editor of the £rue& Herald. ) (Unavoidably held over from our last issue.) Sir, I regret to feel it my duty to call attention to the " Inch Chronicles," which are written in the language of holy writ, and are a perversion of the phraseology of thedivine oracles as set before us in the English version of the Bible. Yea, such perversiorl is not to be seen in the works of the niosfc daring of sceptics, and! would beg to remind the author that " Sma' pleasure it can gee, E'en to a tleil'." to remark upon their neighbor's faults, and failing that, to step aside is human. But since our watchmen are asleep we trust that all believers to whom the words and phraseology of the Bible are sweet, will spurn at the plagiarism of the phraseology of the Scriptures into the sordid ideal of sansual amusements. A L.VYBiA.N* Tokomairiro, 13th March, 1871.
