BURGLARY.
ACCUSED CONFESSES THE GRIME, Press Assn—By telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, April 18. Alfred Smith lias been committed for trial for burglary at the residence of Mr ThompsOiTi at Randwick. Accused, in a written statement, said a man named Balson induced him to accompany him to Thomipsom's house, and lie watched while Balson robbed the house. ■ liaison, whom the poilice are iwiai'ble to trace, was shot in tihe shoulder. Accused said <at the time he -was out of work and desperate. He expressed sorrow for the troaiible caused. Smith was also committed fo>r trial on a second charge of burglary at Kandwick on January 23. Faced with finger print evidence Smith admitted the burglary.
