Emily Davison, who was arrested on December 24 for placing lighted rags in; 'letter-boxes, was sentenced! tosix months' imprisonment. Prisoner asserted her conduct was hy way of a protest against injuries to women during the raids against Suffragettes, three of whom were dead.
