N.Z. LOAN AND MERCANTILE AGENCY CO., LTD. The iN.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report on their usual monthly Makotukti sale, held yesterday (Wednesday) as follow: — We ottered over 2000 sheep and 100 head of cattle to a large muster of those interested, and are' pleased to report almost a total clearance under the hammer. The sale started well, and improved as it progressed. We quote: Cattle, fat cows and heifers £4 to £4 os, empty cows £2 to £2 - 18s, 2-year heifers in calf £2 10s to £3 6s for a choice line, 15 to 20mon'ths steers £2 10s to £3, weaners 25s to bulls £2; sheep, 2-tooth ewes (small) 9s, mixed 2-tooths 10s, sound mouth ewes 5s Id to 6s 6d, old ewes 3s id to 4s 9d, shorn lambs 4s to 6s 9d, woolly iambs 3s to 7s Bd, Komnoy rams 14s 6d to 1? guineas.„ Our next sale at this centre will take place on Wednesday, April 13.
