FIRE.
[press association.] HASTINGS, This Day. A thirteeii-roomed house owned and occupied by Mrs E. Bamforth. was totally destroyed yesterday aftertoon, the cause' of the lire is unknown. Mr Bamforth was absent in Wellington and the remainder of the family were away at the time of the outbreak. A quantity of furniture was saved. The insurances on the building are £250 in the .National, and on the furniture £2OO in the Alliance.
