A fire at Whibley's was confined to one department by the closing of iron doors, which prevented a serious calamity. The damage is small. (Received March 15, 9 a.m.) LONDON, March 14. An outbreak of fire occurred at "Whiteley. The customers and 4000 assistants were removed without confusion. A dozen firemen were overcome by the smoke and taken to the hospital. One department was destroyed. x
