Hurdle Race: The winner of any hurdle race (after the declaration of weights) to carry a penalty of lOlbs in the Hurdle Races, and for every additional race 71bs extra. Flat Races: The winner of any Flat Race (after declaration of weights), to carry a penalty of lOlbs and of every additional race a fur- ! ther penalty of 61bs. Horses handi- [ capped at Bst 101b or over to carry only half the above penalties, or if he thinks fit the handicapper may increase above penalties. NOMINATIONS for all races close with the Secretary, Dannevirke, on THURSDAY, February 10th, 1910, at 9 p.m. WEIGHTS for the First Day's Races will be declared on or about FRIDAY, February 18th, 1910. For the Second Day's Races, on the night of the First Day's Races, about 8.30 p.m. ACCEPTANCES for the First Day's Races close with the Secretary, Dannevirke on TUESDAY, February 22nd. 1910, at 9 p.m. For the Second Day's Races close with the Secretary at his office, Dannevirke, on the night of the First Day's Races at 9.30 o'clock. (Telegraph Office closes at 8 p.m.) RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. All entries must be sealed and addressed to the Secretary, P.O. Box 50, Dannevirke, with the name and age at the time of entry, name of owner, pedigree, and performances of the horse, and the colors of the ~:,ie r _ . Entries by telegram MUST be confirmed in writing by following mail. 3. Any owner failing' to declare his colors at the time of entry will be fined lsov. unless they are registered. 4. All races to be run under the Rules of Racing as adopted by the Racing Conference of New Zealand. • 5. The Committee reserve the right to alter the date or time for the declaration of weights, nominations, or acceptances as they may think fit. 6. Hack meav>s a. horse that has not won at the time, of entry, a race of the value of lOOsovs. to the winner, or races of the collective value of 250sovs. to the winner. 7. When nominating the name of the trainer MUST be given, also the name or assumed name of the owner. 8.
