Press Assn—By telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, January 19. The Canadian House of Commons, by 110 votes to 23, rejected a motion for the abolition of the Senate. Sir Wilfrid Laurier said that the experience of Great Britain, the wisest country in the world, taught that a Second Chamber was absolutely necessary.
