CORRESPONDENCE.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —We have a dispute. Will you kindly act as arbitrator? One of us had asked Pastor Kies what was the amount of rates paid upon the education reserve lately leased by him and announced for sale by auction on Saturday next. He replied that it was about £7 per annum. Another of us said it was only £6. A said he had been at the Council Chambers to enquire, but found no one there. Sir, will you kindly inform us through your valuable paper what is the correct amount of rates paid on the property ?—I am, etc., LAND HUNGER. [We are informed that the annual rate upon the property in question is £6 12s 4d, including water rate. In common with other borough property, this amount will be increased when the new sewerage loan rate is struck. —Ed. D.A.]
