[press association.] AUCKLAND, This Day. Extensive damage to the hull of the Kaipara has been discovered by the divers. A hole two feet square was found, evidently knocked into her when the vessel struck. The vessel for forty feet seems to be affected considerably. Four divers are plugging the seams, and a collision mat is being made to cover the large hole. Pumping by the tug Terawhiti will the rent must be more effectively stopped before the pumps can cope with the water. Pumpin gby the tug Terawhiti will probably start to-morrow.
