PAINTERS AND EMPLOYMENT.
[PEESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, to-day. Tho secretary to the Painters' Union states there are not more than twenty tradesmen^ in the city working full time. Thei'e are over 300 on the books, and between sixty and sixty-five painters have arrived from other countries during the last eighteen months, but in the past six months between sixty and seventyhave gono away.
