DANNEVIRKE SUB-UNION.

The Sub-union met last evening. Present :■ Messrs Carston (chairman), £nell,' Rosenberg, Harding, Grinlm- ; -ton, Watt, Salt, Eaton, Flynn, Shanly, Coltman, Batten and Glass. Mr Harding raised the point that two players who had been dealt with at a previous meeting for an alleged offence, had not received personal notice to attend.— The matter was discussed at some length, it being generally considered, that notice to. the chib secretary in such a case was sufficient. - CORRESPONDENCE. From Cadet team, protesting against the Woodville Thirds on the grounds of playing H. Read, Humbling, and Hutchings, which players it was contended were not eligible to play in the third grade.— After consideration it was resolved to uphold the protest, and that the match be replayed at end of season. P. G. Burlaco wrote asking that "his term of disqualification, which expires in August, be lifted.— Resolved to endorse the -application and forward same to N.Z. Rugby Union. ■ The Excelsior Club notified the withdrawal from the junioi- cup competition.—Received.—Messrs, , Snell, J Watt and the secretary were appointed a committee to re-draw the junior • cup fixtxiTes. The Woodvillo Club applied for the reinstatement of Balcoinbe as a junior.—Referred to -Classification Committee with jaower to deal with. ,In • connection .. with the j unior match, Dannevirk© v. "R^.yjlie, it was .resolved, owing to th&-late hour in starting the game, which ended in a draw, -to. order the match to be replayed. .
