WEBER RABBIT BOARD.

The annual meeting of "the Weber B-abbit Trust Association was held at Ti Tree Point on Saturday, June sth. The balance-sheet, stowing a credit balance of £57 Is ©dj was adopted. Mr Donald Mimiv was re-elected Chairman. In moving the. motion Dr Riddell n&fiprired. to the very able and gentlemanly manner ho had conducted the business as Chairman during his term of office, and had much pleasure in. moving his re-election. The motion was carried without dis : sent. Mr Munro returned thanks. Mr T. Crrant was re-appointed secretary and treasurer. The following were elected a committee : Messrs W. Francis, J. Franklin, F. a Franklin, J. Riddell, Dr Riddell, A. Wells, B. Munro, H. Small, and H. Jensen. • The Chairman gave a resume of instructions given to tho Chairman since last meeting. CORRESPONDENCE. John Speedy wrote complaining that he had received notice from the Chief Inspector re increase of Tabbits, and asked that rabbiter. be sent down.. A letter .-was' read from Inspector Sutherland touching on the same. JHe recommended laying poison on the stock reserve with pollard. The Chairman stated that fresh traces had been found on reserve a few days after the rabbiter had left it. . It was resolved to carry out the Inspector's instructions, re use of : poison. A letter is to be forwarded to the j Hawke's Bay Rabbit Board that this association views with alarm the great increase of rabbits since the Board abandoned tho rabbit fence, s&xd beg to respectfully point out the advisability of re-consideriaig its depision to til© upkeep of -/fiber -fences. The "raWbifcer's report showed ihab 59 rabbits had been killed during tho month. - ' The meeting then adjourned.
