After listening to the Budget debate, the delegates and their ladies motored to Marlborough House, where the Prince and' Princess of Wales gave a garden party/ Thio King 1 , Queen Alexandra, Prince and Princess Nashimbb, of Japaii, 'representatives of the press, the professions; ilio services " and society were ! present. In the evening Lord Derby, Mr Austen Chamberlain, tho Hon. Harry Lawsony Mr Moberley Bell (of the Times), Mr Spender (editor of tho Westminster. Gazette), ; Mr Donald (editor of .the Daily Chronicle), Mr Kneedy Jones (director of the Associ- ! ated 'Newspapers) entertained a. party of delegates at dinner: Afterwards the delegates attended Lady Salisbury's reception at Arlington street, where they took part in a brilliant gathering of politicians •and aristocrats. ■•■•■•
