■DANNEVIBKE SECOND v. HIGH SCHOOL. This match, which was very evenly 'contested, resulted in a win for the High Sc-hool by 9 points to 6. The combination of the High School boys proved too much for the Dannevirke boys. Two tries were scored by the Dan'nevirko team, while tries were secured for the High School by McKay and McKenzie, the latter also kicking a goal from a mark obtained by McDowell. The High Sclrool boys played a .splendid game, the only weak spot being Cook at three-quarter. Hardy at full played splendidly. , Blair and Adsett (backs) arid Bateman and Pet-tit (forwards) were the best of the Dannevirke boys.
