. [OWN CORRESPONDENT.} The monthly meeting of the Ormondnle T(n\]i Board was held last I evening. Present: J5Je-ssrs F. Forj wai-d (chairman), D. McFarlane, G. \ I). May, and H.'j. Xeulin'g. ; Correspondence was received from, ( J. Fitzgerald, applying for an ap- ' proach to the Roman Catholic Church grounds. — Granted. C. M. Brooke and Sons, Christchurch, quoting for poisoned Avheat. — Clerk to get local quotations. Ferguson and Hicks re local government works.-— Received. B. Dawson, of Wellington, forwarding a scheme for obtaining supplies of cheap money f rom abroad for lending on mortgage in this country, and asking the Board's co-operation in a representation to Parliament. — Received. The sub-committee appointed at last • meeting to inspect certain works, which Mere reported as requiring attention, reported as follows: — Footpath along Jolmstone street: That the. matter stand over. — Approved. Widening road at the top of cutting leading to Whetukura : That Mr Bahies would give the ground necessary for the widening on condition that the fence was re-erected. Decided to call tenders. . Hosking street: That the road should be widened to allow a watertable, and that i the open drain ho filled in. — Tenders to be called. It M-as resolved to re-erect the fence above the old gravel pit.. It was decided that the Napier Brewery Company be informed that unless the drainage leading from . the Settlers' Arms ,Hotel, Ormondville, was seen to before next meeting that the Board would disconnect their pipes: Several small slips on the kura incline are to be removed. Accounts amounting, to £17 10s Id were passed £or payment.
