King, the newly-appoint-ed manager of the Tamaki Dairy Factory, arrived in Dannevirke in Monday evening, and paid a visit to the factory and Kiritaki creamery yesterday. Mr King was chosen from 30 applicants, who appeared to bo so much alike in qualifications that the directors had the greatest difficulty in reducing them even to seven. However, seven names were submitted to the Dairy Commissioner, who, in commenting upon the applicants, said "it had never been bis pleasure to see so many good men apply for the otto position." Mr King comes witli tliQ reputation, of being a very tactful matt as well as a good butterworker, so that the directors have .been exceedingly fortunate in securing his services.
