GISBORNE, to-day. 'A unique point has arisen in connection with tlio Maori election. The local publicans wero advised that under section 115 of the Electoral Act, they would lie compelled to eloso their bars from noon, tho Maori; election coming within the category of any "election" in that section. All Gisborne hotels with one exception, wbero the license© was advised differently, have acordingly closed.
