The. total receipts were £12; and. the expenses £3 7s— (hire of hall £2 2s; -hire of .piano £1, hire of crockery os) — leaving a balance of £8 13s. All else required was given by friends. The treasurer's 'book showed : Cash received since January 1, 1908, £67 7s; expenditure, £53 12s; leaving 1 balance in Hand of £13 los. The D.C.A. accoixnt of £11 13s and hall £2 2s were Ijassed for payment." The iiext meeting is arranged for the 18th November, wjien the librarian, Mr H. Miiscutt, will prepare a list of subscribers to lay before the nieeting ; and we trust that the list will generously be added to by our friends before that date, as the committee will then be able to. buy more books. .
