Press Assn— By telegraph — Copyright. LONDON, yesterday. The Australian footballers met Llanelly yesterday, and were defeated by a goal and a try (eight points) to a goal (five points). Llanelly secured a try five minutes after starting. Soon after Carroll ran three-quarters of the length of the ground, and scored a. '.try for the "Wallabies." Towards half-time Evans, an international forward, added a brilliant try, which was converted.

The second half was hotly contested. •

The result aroused- immense enthusiasm among the ten thousand spectators present. '
