ORMONDVILLE.
[own cobbespondent.] Mr S. E. McCarthy, S.M., sat at .the Ormondville Magistrate's Coiirt^ yesterday and heara the following" cases: — - Railway Department v. John Brandon, for allowing a cow to stray on the railway line at Makotuku on the *6th February. — Fined £l y with costs £lls. ... P. Brady v. G. Mills, claim £3 12s :2d. — Judgment for that amount, with costs 255. A. Sugdeh. v. J. Kilkolly, claim £6 14s 10d.— Adjourned till June 12th A. Sugden v. C. W. R. Watson; ohim £2 10s 3d. — Judgment by default, with costs 11s. The Railway Department are just •completing a very necessary piece of -work at the Papatu siding, Ormondville. A gang of men have been employed for some time past removing the high bank for about 100 yds in •length, and are erecting a gate at the far end, the result will be that now there will be a fine level siding there of about 150 yds in length, with :a gate at each end.
