INQUEST. [PKEBB ASSOCIATION.] NAPIER, last night. At the inquest to-day on a young man, Frank Oulton, who met ■- his . death in the inner harbor on Sunday, a verdict was returned that he was accidentally killed by a shot from his own' gun and that no blame was attached to anybody. A' man named, Frederick Nikollo, a I German settler on a small section at I tlie edge of a, peat bog at Drummond^ was. found dead this afternoon. De^ ceased had been summoned to appear at the court on Wednesday to answer to a, charge of cruelty to his .children. INVERCARGILL, to-day. Frederick Nekal, a Russian* set- ■ tier at Drummond, suicided by blow- ' ing a i>art of his head off with a gun. He has been despondent since receiving 1 a summons for ill-treating his children. AUCKLAND, to-day. The child named Charlotte Reilly, who was severely burned on Saturday, died at the hospital. GREYMOUTH, to-day. Thomas Davis, a carpenter, was killed by a beam falling on him at the goodshed. ,
