A HARBOR COLLISION.

AUCKLAND, yesterday. Tho enquiry into the WairunaMoonah collision was resumed. MiMays, for the Collector of Customs, stated that there was a, direct conflict of evidence as to tho lights visible on the sailing vessel and tho whistle signals from the steamer. Captain Robinson, of the Wairuna, stated that he sounded two blasts on the whistle, the signal that the course was to be diverted to port. Immediately after the lookout reported a green light ahead. It was then half a mile srvvay. As soon as he got his green light to the green light ahead ho reduced speed to 2:} knots and gave two more "blasts. He put tho helm further starboard, and then saw tile, two lights of tho sailing vessel and ordered the engines to be reversed. Two or three minutes beforo the collision the vessel had lost headway, but the Moonah was dropping down on the wind and tide. He lowered boats and picked up the crew.
