WAITAHORA
o Mr Ross, member, for the district, visited Waitahora on Saturday last to ascertain the wants of the settlers. He stayed until Monday, and promised to urge on tlio Government to metal the Ongaba Koad and bridge the Mangatoro at the fifth crossing, as these are works of vital importance to the settlement. He also promised, to ask the Government to assist the settlers in obtaining lime to improve the heavy clay lands in the neighbourhood by acquiring a. quarry near the main road, and building a kiln for burning the lime.
