ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A man named Frank Schnick was drowned off the beach at Gisborae yesterday while bathing. A boy's clothes were found on the New Brighton beach yesterday, and it is feared that an accident has occurred. The coat, hat, and collar of the missing commercial traveller Isaacs -were found yesterday in the Avon estuary at New Brighton. An empty chemical bottle was also discovered beside them. 'A young man named Cutfield, of "Wanganui, was killed by a train accident at KailwioD Saturday. Deceased endeavoured to save his dog from being run over by a passing train, when he was caught himself, and received such injuries that he died a few hours afterwards. A young man named John Beith, a porter at Christchurch Hospital, was drowned yesterdaj' whilst bathing at New Brighton.
