FIRE.

Per Press Association. Wellington, This Day. A fire wbl discovered on the premises of Messrs Scott and Co., indent agents,. <ifcc, Victoria street, yesterday afternoon. It is supposed to have occurred among the kapok on the tup floor, and a large amount of damage was done to the stock by flre and water. F. Hodgson, indent agent, and Anderson and Co., indent agents, occupy the floors beneath Scott's, and their stocks suffered by water. The premises, owned by J. N. Richardson, were insured for £6000 in the Phcfenix, and were not much damaged. Scott's stock was valued at £8000, and was insured j for £6000. The amount of the damage is not assessed. Ho Igson's and Ander- j son's stocks are also insured.
