William Anderson's Dramatic Company.
The box plan for the forthcoming season of Anderson's Dramatic Company was opened this inorniog at Mr Bairtlett's Bbop and there is expected to be a brisk demand for sents. The same of Anderson is . now well- known through* out the colonies. What may be called the Anderson style of drama has become inmenseljr popular wiit playgoer?. It is deliberately sensational , and extremely harmless. Its morality is traquestionable, for its holds up the horrid villain to reprobation, aud calls for sympathy for the persecuted heroine, in the good old way. It is admirably staged ; there are no hitonec in mechanism, aad the dressing is complete. Ou Thursday night Mr Anderson will iptroduce to local playgoers Walter Neville's drama, « • The Worst Woman in London," whicb scored a signal success in Melbourne and Sydney and elsewhere in the Commonwealth. Mr Anderson has been at ' > great pains to seenre scenery fitted for the smaller theatres, no that the company while touring may be enabled to give its patrons as realistic an interpretation of the piece as was given m the large cities. A staff of stage mechanics will arrive to-morrow with the scenery and effects for " The Worst Woman in London," so that everything will be in order for the opening on Thursday night.
