An Electoral Inquiry.
Per Press Association. Auckland, Maroh2o. At the enquiry into the charges against J. King, Registrar of Electors, Mr Fowlds, M.H.R., said it was noteworthy that a large number of persons omitted from the Grey Lynn and City rolls were either members of the tern party or supporters of his canidature. If there were an equal number on the other side, apart from the question of corrupt practice, it waa evidence of incompetency. Mr Haselden said most careful men made mistakes. It was a question oi number, Thomas Jones stated that he experienced considerable difficulty in getting his name transferred to Grey Lynn roll until he secared an order from the Revision Court. Since the election he had beeu notified that bis name had been struck off as a non-voter, though be had recorded his vote at the general election. '
