WOOL AND SKIN SALE.

Messrs Williams and Kettle, Ltd., report having held their periodical sale of wool, skins, hides, atd tallow at Napier on Thursday, when they offered 17 bales and 8 packages wool, 2408 akins, 189 hides, cud 10 packages tallow to a full bench pf buyers. Bidding throughout was keen, enabling a ' complete clearance of our catalogue * under fhe hammer at prices for wool and skins a distinct advance on previous sale's rates. Hides a shade easier, tallow' at late rates. We realised the following prices : — Wool — Crossbred (dead) from 5d to 5f d for superior bright parcels, drossbred crutchings from 3Jd to 4d, halfbred orutobings up to 4Jd, slips wool from 5Jd to B|d. I Skins — Coarse crossbreds from 3sd to 4*"-d, finer crossbreds 4jd to s|d, half-hreds from s|d to 6jd, merino from' 5 Jd for double fleeces and short woolled to 6£d for medium length and quality, up to 7Jd for one extra clean long staple lot, green ' skim 4s Gd, pelts up to 9A. ■; Hides — Superior light ox up tb 3Jd, one parcel extra thick wall ' saved heavy ox bides made up to od, other sorts of ox from 2Jd to 3Jd, superior cow, up to 4d, less attraotive sorts from 2Jd to 3|d, calf from 2£d to 4|di Tallow — Very inferior quality from Jd to ld for rough kind, rendered - up to los 6d per owt.
